The Dane is confident about his chances at the four majors next year, adding he still wants to improve
his serve.
Holger Rune has been speaking about his goals for 2023, including the aim of winning a
Slam.
Media outlet Relevant Tennis spoke to the world number 11, where he laid out his
objectives for the coming year.
He said he knows what he wants: which is to win Slams.
The Dane highlighted the fact he has already won an ATP 250 and a Masters, so now it is
“time for a Slam win.”
2022 was already a significant step forward for Rune, culminating in his victory over Novak
Djokovic at Paris Bercy.
A big reason for this improvement was the serve but he said he wants it to get even better.
He cited an improvement in precision this year but promised in 2023 his serve would be
even “deadlier.”
Meanwhile Djokovic has announced he will begin his 2023 season at the ATP 250 in Adelaide
starting on January 2.
Daniil Medvedev, Jannik Sinner and Andy Murray are all set to join the 21-time Slam winner.
Djokovic is aiming to win his tenth Australian Open, which commences on 16 January.
