Nadal: ‘Extreme levels’ required to keep up with Djokovic and Federer

Rafael Nadal made the comments during an exhibition tour he is currently on in Latin

America with Casper Ruud.


Rafael Nadal has spoken of the “extreme mental levels” the big three have pushed each

other to.


He said Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and himself have constantly pushed each other. But

“somehow it’s never been enough.”


But he also said the pressure from each other has been a key reason behind their longevity.


Nevertheless, when the time comes to hang up his racket, Nadal said he will be “ready.”


He said he doesn’t think retirement will be a problem for him. He said There are things in his

life that are at least as important as tennis.


This week, Nadal enjoyed his 900 th week ranked in the Top 20.


The world number two also hinted at a possible future exhibition in Colombia with Federer.
